Neutral running shoes are best for women who donât overpronate.
Pronation is the natural inward roll of your foot when you walk or run, and everyoneâs foot has some level of pronation. Excessive pronation, though, is when your foot spends longer on its instep (also called the âmedialâ side) during its transition from heel to toe.
Women who have a neutral gait donât need extra support on the medial side of the shoe, while women who pronate excessively can benefit from the extra medial durability of stability running shoes.
